The Fumed Silica provided by us is also known as pyrogenic silica. They are produced in a flame, consists of microscopic droplets of amorphous silica that is fused into branched, chain like secondary particles. These particles have extremely low bulk density and high surface area. They also serves as a fumed silica and is a universal thickening agent. It is also known as free-flow agent in powders and also serves as a desiccant. The Fumed Silica is used in cosmetics and light abrasive in toothpaste due to its light diffusing properties. They also serves as a viscosity adjustment in paints, coatings, printing inks, adhesives and unsaturated polyester resins.
